The Naval Nuclear Laboratory develops advanced naval nuclear propulsion technology for the safety and reliability of our Navy's submarine and aircraft fleet. Our company is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team as part of the Propulsion Plant Team Trainer (PPTT) project, which is a multi-site organization engaged in the design, production, testing, and delivery of advanced training simulators. The successful candidate will:
Education:
Associates degree from an accredited college or university in design and drafting technology or a related electrical design field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or - Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in design and drafting technology or a related electrical design field. Minimum of 3 years of work experience as an Electrical Engineer.
Proficiency performing electrical engineering drafting - Knowledge of drafting standards and techniques - Experience creating or reviewing electrical engineering designs based on approved technical requirements - Proficiency with engineering software including SolidWorks, SolidWorks Electrical, and/or AutoCAD - Proficiency with Programmable Logic Controllers, low voltage electrical distribution, audiovisual, or telecommunications systems - Strong communication and collaboration skills - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
