    Description

    Description

At Willamette View, you'll contribute to the ethos of "Inspiring the Art of Living Well" for our active resident community, playing a key role in helping individuals lead rich and fulfilling lives. If you appreciate the importance of personal relationships and making a meaningful impact on the lives of others, then our unique, lively, and progressive senior community is the ideal place for you.
    Who are we looking for?

Imagine coming to work each day knowing your leadership helps create a beautiful, safe, and welcoming home for older adults who are living vibrant, meaningful lives. At our not-for-profit continuing care retirement community, the grounds are more than landscaping-they are the pathways residents stroll, the gardens they enjoy, and the outdoor spaces that make our campus feel like home. As Lead Groundskeeper, you'll work alongside a close-knit Grounds team while coordinating daily assignments, prioritizing projects, and helping ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to Willamette View's standards.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys working outdoors, solving problems, and helping others succeed. You'll provide day-to-day direction, training, and technical guidance to Grounds employees while maintaining regular communication with the Maintenance Manager regarding project status, seasonal priorities, equipment needs, and staffing concerns. You'll also serve as a liaison among residents, staff, and contractors by responding to service requests, coordinating outside work, and helping plan seasonal landscaping and grounds maintenance activities.

Alongside your leadership responsibilities, you'll perform the full range of groundskeeping duties needed to keep our campus attractive, functional, and safe. This includes caring for lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers, soil, irrigation systems, drainage areas, sidewalks, patios, and parking lots. You'll operate and maintain grounds equipment, apply fertilizers and landscape treatments, assist with plant selection, perform seasonal cleanup and snow or ice removal, and support special events as needed. If you lead by example, take pride in creating outdoor spaces people truly enjoy, and want your work to make a visible difference every day, we'd love to meet you.
