    Join our culinary team!

    Cook IV Responsibilities Include:
    • Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
    • Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
    • Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
    • Perform portion control and minimize waste to keep cost within forecasted range.
    • Comply with applicable sanitary, health, and personal hygiene regulations per Virginia Department of Health, James City County, and other agencies.
    • Maintain a clean workstation area, including kitchen equipment, tables, and shelves.
    • Ensure quality and freshness of ingredients and products.
    • Perform additional tasks as may be assigned.
    Line Cook Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree preferred.
    • 1-3 years of experience cooking in a restaurant, hotel, or resort.
    • Understanding of cooking methods and procedures, and knife handling skills.
    • Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail.
    • Ability to read and follow cooking directions.
    • Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
    • Must be organized and self-motivated.
    • Ability to work well in a team environment.
    • Must be able to stand for extended periods, bend, stretch, and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
    Prep Cook Responsibilities Include:
    • Sets up food items and other necessary supplies.
    • Label and stock ingredients on shelves to be organized and accessible.
    • Ensures that the daily prep tasks are completed prior to service.
    • Prepares foods by operating a variety of kitchen equipment to measure and mix ingredients, washing, peeling, cutting and shredding fruits and vegetables, and trimming and cutting meat, poultry, or fish.
    • Maintain a clean workstation area, including kitchen equipment, tables, and shelves.
    • Perform additional tasks as may be assigned.
    Prep Cook Qualifications:
    • Ability to read and follow cooking directions.
    • Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to work well in a team environment.
    • Must be able to stand for extended periods, bend, stretch, and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.


    AM or PM Shifts available
    Must be available to work weekends and some holidays
