MotorCity Casino Hotel 2901 Grand River Ave Detroit, MI 48201, USA

Description

Prepare ingredients and dishes according to standardized recipes and plating guidelines.

Monitor cooking times and temperatures to produce food of consistent taste and appearance.

Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation, following health and safety procedures.

Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to keep service running smoothly.

Communicate effectively with the team to coordinate service and avoid bottlenecks.

Handle, store, and dispose of food safely and in compliance with health codes.

Support other team members in a collaborative and flexible manner when required.

Qualifications:

One year of prep cook experience.

At least one year of experience in a high-volume restaurant or fine dining establishment.

Ability to pass a skills test in food identification and cuts, as well as an oral quiz.

Culinary degree strongly preferred.

Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Positive attitude, adaptability, and willingness to learn and grow.
