Job Summary

• Set up, serve and clean up for lunch service to Maharishi School students, grades 1-12, and faculty. Food is brought from the MIU kitchen
• 4 hours per day
• Benefits include tuition remission, meals discount, paid holidays & sick days
• Work begins on August 20, but can begin earlier with summer cleaning and painting projects.

Job Responsibilities

1. Opening the kitchen, preparing hot and cold buffets and utensils used.
2. Organizing the support area, restocking supplies used during lunchtime.
3. Serving food to students and staff after receiving and determining portion sizes.
4. Operating equipment correctly, maintaining safety standards at all times.
5. Organizing and cleaning service points and kitchen areas.
6. Following food safety and hygiene procedures.
7. Managing kitchen inventory and receiving goods.
8. Performing kitchen closing procedures and auxiliary tasks.
9. Creating a positive and welcoming mealtime experience.

Job Qualifications

1. Previous food service experience is preferred.
2. Must have the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
3. Reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team.
4. Good communication skills with the ability to communicate, read & understand instructions, safety rules & processes in English.
5. Must be physically able to lift, lower, push and pull objects up to 50 pounds.
6. This role may require uniforms and the use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
