At Parker, our team members belong, matter and make a difference.With direct guidance in a team environment, responsible for operating one or more production machines working from blueprints, sketches and route sheets.Essential Functions:Perform repetitive machine operations (including reworking parts) such as cutting, shaping, deburring, forming, drilling, reaming and smoothing partsAlign and fasten parts using standard fixtures where established methods are followedVisually inspect parts for burrs and damaged machine surfaceRemove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks cracks or other irregularities from machined partsInspect parts for conformance to specifications by visual examination and the use of gauges or other measuring instrumentsAccurately and regularly perform Statistical Process Control (SPC) requirementsObserve all prescribed safety rules and regulations while maintaining a clean work area in orderly conditionRead analog / digital MICS / COMPAIRTORS / PROFILOMETERStrong lathe background preferredPerform other related responsibilitiesQualifications:HS Diploma or equivalentMust have manual machining experienceMinimum 1-2 years general or related machine shop experience or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilitiesMust demonstrate manual dexterityMust be able to read and understand blueprintsWorking knowledge of machine shop mathematicsMust demonstrate effective English verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to work effectively with others and be a participative team playerBenefit & Retirement PlansParker offers competitive benefit programs, including:Comprehensive coverage for medical, prescription drugs, dental, vision, voluntary optional life, accident insurance, hospital indemnity insurance and critical illness insurance with competitive premium cost.401(k) Plan with company matching contributions at 100% of the first 5% of payCompany provided defined-contribution retirement plan with annual contribution equal to 3% of payCareer development and tuition reimbursementOther benefits including paid parental leave, short and long-term disability programs, adoption assistance, a Care.com membership and financial planning assistance are provided at no cost to you.Supplemental benefit programs including identity protection, legal protection, and pet wellness are available at competitive rates.Paid Time Off and 13 Company-Paid Holidays.Parker is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
