Description
Manager, Merchandising
The Manager, Merchandising partners closely with the Director of Merchandising to define and execute a women's assortment strategy and product architecture aligned with brand positioning and financial objectives. This role is instrumental in growing and elevating the women's timepiece business, leveraging consumer insights, trend analysis, and market opportunities to drive profitable expansion.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Strategy & Assortment Development
Support the development and execution of the women's product strategy, focused on growth, brand elevation, and whitespace opportunities
Plan assortment architecture, including line size, SKU productivity, and lifecycle management
Supports channel segmentation and account-specific assortment strategies
Identify opportunities through sales performance, trend analysis, and consumer insights
Product Development & Execution
Partner closely with Design and Product Development on new product creation
Ensure alignment between merchandising priorities and development timelines
Support lifecycle management through performance tracking, optimization, and disciplined discontinuation
Cross-Functional Leadership
Collaborate with Marketing, PR, Sales, Finance, Demand Planning, and international teams to ensure consistent product positioning and execution
Partner with Marketing on Go-To-Market strategies
Support key deliverables including catalogs, planograms, and sales tools
Operational Excellence
Maintain accuracy and integrity of product data in Perfion
Oversee product sample management, including tracking, shipping, and organization
Maintain the Citizen workroom to ensure visibility of current and upcoming initiatives
Support creation of investment sheets for new product development
Business Support
Liaise with Special Business Units (National Sales, Independent Retail, Travel Retail, DTC, International)
Participate in sales meetings and key business reviews
Support additional merchandising initiatives as needed
Qualifications
Experience in merchandising, buying, or product management (3–5 years)
Strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence without authority
Clear, concise, and proactive communication skills
Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into action
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (Power BI a plus)
Watch, jewelry, or luxury accessory experience preferred
Ability to travel domestically as needed for market appointments, retail visits, and key business meetings
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree and 3 - 5 years related experience in a merchant or buying role; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
