OverviewQCELLS seeks an experienced Manager, Demand Planning to lead demand forecasting and business planning functions within the Biz Planning & Ops team, Residential Solutions. In this role, you will own the end-to-end demand planning process—from data infrastructure and forecasting models to cross-functional alignment and executive reporting—with direct impact on revenue, margin, and operational efficiency. The Manager will operate with a high degree of autonomy, driving continuous improvements in forecasting accuracy, financial close processes, and analytical frameworks. The ideal candidate is a seasoned planning professional who can lead independently, influence cross‑functional stakeholders, and translate complex data into clear business narratives.This position will be based out of our office in San Francisco, CA, and will require up to 20% travel as needed. This position will report to the Team Lead, Biz Planning & Ops, or another senior personnel that the President of the Company may designate.ResponsibilitiesOwn the end-to-end residential demand planning process, including volume forecasting, revenue outlook, and gross profit projections; lead monthly S&OP and financial close cycles with full accountability for resultsLead variance analysis and deliver actionable insights to senior management; proactively identify demand risks and opportunities and drive adjustments to the forecastDesign and maintain scalable data management systems, forecasting models, and key assumptions; establish analytical frameworks including automated dashboards and self‑service reporting tools for cross‑functional stakeholdersPartner with Sales, Operations, Finance, Legal, and SCM teams to ensure aligned planning assumptions; serve as the primary planning interface for distributor sell‑out data management (EDI, CMR, POS) and lead cross‑functional finance initiativesPerform other duties as assignedRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in business administration or any quantitative field (Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering, Accounting)Minimum 5 years' professional experience, including at least 3–5 years in demand planning, business planning, or financial operations, with demonstrated ability to lead planning processes independentlyStrong computer skills, including advanced level of computer skills: Microsoft Oce (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)Strong understanding of finance and accountingStrong understanding of databasesProven ownership mindset with a track record of driving results independently and improving planning processes with measurable outcomesStrong leadership presence, excellent communication skills, and ability to synthesize complex data into executive‑level narrativesPreferred QualificationsExperience in solar, renewable energy, or consumer electronics distribution industries.Familiarity with residential solar distribution channels, distributor sell‑out data (EDI, POS, CMR), and SPA/rebate operations.2+ years of experience in statistical or predictive modeling.3+ years of contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance financial modeling or demand planning processes, with measurable outcomes.Proficiency in BI and analytics tools: Power BI, Tableau, Salesforce, Oracle, or SQL.Willingness to travel at least 20% of the time.Physical, Mental & Environmental DemandsMobility: Standing 20% of time; Sitting 70% of time; Walking 10% of time.Strength: Pulling up to 10 Pounds; Pushing up to 10 Pounds; Carrying up to 10 Pounds; Lifting up to 10 Pounds.Dexterity: Typing Frequently; Handling Frequently; Reaching Frequently.Agility: Turning Frequently; Twisting Frequently; Bending Occasionally; Crouching Occasionally; Balancing Never; Climbing Never; Crawling Never; Kneeling Never.SalaryThe salary range is required by the California Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on the location of those candidates hired nationwide.
