Manufacturing Engineering Technician Role Overview:We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineering Technician to join our client's dynamic, customer-focused team. In this hybrid role, you will bridge the gap between mechanical engineering depth and practical manufacturing expertise. You will own the production equipment, drive process improvements, and serve as the go-to technical resource for our assembly and testing operations.
Manufacturing Engineering Technician Job Description:- Equipment Ownership: Set up, qualify, maintain, and troubleshoot production machinery (including crimpers, baggers, labelers, and electronic test stands).
- Process Improvement: Lead lean manufacturing initiatives (5S, value stream mapping, bottleneck analysis) to improve throughput, yield, and ergonomics.
- Documentation: Create and maintain clear, visual operator work instructions and preventative maintenance (PM) procedures.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with operations, engineering, and management to test process changes and solve complex mechanical or pneumatic challenges.
Manufacturing Engineering Technician Qualifications:- Education/Experience: Associate's degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering (or related tech field) or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Proven Track Record: 3+ years in a manufacturing or production maintenance environment (electronics assembly or wire harness experience is highly preferred).
- Technical Aptitude: Experience reading mechanical drawings and electrical schematics; proficiency with pneumatic/electromechanical systems.
- Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with ERP systems (Acumatica preferred) and 2D/3D design tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Fusion 360).
- Lean Mindset: Working knowledge of lean principles; dedicated to safety and continuous improvement.
