Position Responsibilities:
Perform functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers on equipment setup and calibration.
Perform rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
Use sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data and perform online adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment.
Determine and assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify manufacturing processes.
Work with engineers in conducting manufacturing experiments.
Basic Qualifications:
Above-average experience and working knowledge of basic mechanical hand tools, including wrenches, ratchets, sockets, hex bits, and measurement devices.
Ability to read and understand basic mechanical drawings.
Strong understanding of 5S principles in a mechanical assembly environment.
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a mechanical assembly team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional experience working with aerospace components and/or assemblies in a cleanroom environment.
Experience applying professional-grade adhesives, including two-part epoxies, mixing in fume hoods, and masking.
Operational experience with large gantry-style overhead cranes.
Experience using computer-based training systems, electronic timekeeping, and computer-based work instructions.
Education / Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g., High School Diploma/GED) with relevant manufacturing, mechanical assembly, or production experience.
