    Description

    Manufacturing Technician – Aerospace Fabrication & Mechanical Assembly

    We are hiring a Manufacturing Technician – Aerospace Fabrication & Mechanical Assembly to support the fabrication, assembly, testing, and finishing of aerospace components and systems. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in manufacturing, mechanical assembly, composite fabrication, avionics assembly, blueprint reading, and production processes who are looking to contribute to high-quality aerospace manufacturing operations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform machine setup and machining operations in support of manufacturing and production activities.
    • Complete welding setup, welding, sheet metal fabrication, extrusion, tube bending, and fabrication tasks.
    • Perform composite lay-up, fabrication, bonding, and assembly of aerospace components.
    • Assemble precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components using established work instructions and engineering drawings.
    • Assemble, repair, modify, and install power plants, drive trains, and related mechanical systems.
    • Perform soldering on electronic and avionics assemblies.
    • Assemble and install wire harnesses, electrical assemblies, and avionics components.
    • Prepare test articles, fixtures, tooling, and data collection devices to support production and engineering testing.
    • Perform basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation processes.
    • Apply organic coatings for corrosion protection and cosmetic finish requirements.
    • Follow detailed blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing instructions to produce quality products.
    • Perform work on components and assemblies of limited complexity while maintaining quality and safety standards.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED; or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or mechanical assembly environments.
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience reading and interpreting work instructions, engineering drawings, blueprints, or technical specifications.
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience using Microsoft Office applications, email, internet navigation, or similar computer software.
    • Experience with mechanical assembly, fabrication, composites, sheet metal, machining, soldering, or wire harness installation.
    • Ability to follow established manufacturing procedures while meeting quality and production requirements.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience supporting aerospace or defense manufacturing environments.
    • Experience with composite fabrication, avionics assembly, soldering, or precision electro-mechanical assembly.
