Marketing Coordinator

The YMCA of Southern Nevada is looking for a marketing coordinator to join our team. The Association Marketing Coordinator supports the execution of marketing and communication initiatives that advance the YMCA of Southern Nevada's mission and strategic goals. Working closely with the Marketing Director, this position creates engaging content, coordinates marketing projects, and supports digital communications that promote YMCA membership, programs, fundraising efforts, events, and community impact.

This role is responsible for producing high-quality marketing materials, managing day-to-day social media execution, supporting email and website communications, and helping maintain a consistent YMCA brand across all association locations.

This is a part-time in-person position and will require approximately 25-30 hours per week. The position will be based at the Centennial Hills YMCA - 6601 N Buffalo Drive Las Vegas, Nevada. Evening and weekend scheduling will be required as needed to support community events and Y programming.

Responsibilities include marketing coordination, project coordination, social media and digital content, graphic design and brand support, communications, photography, video and multimedia, events and community engagement, and analytics and reporting.

Abuse risk management functions include adhering to policies related to boundaries with children, attending required abuse risk management training, reporting suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations, following mandated abuse reporting requirements, and adhering to job specific abuse risk management responsibilities.

Work environment and physical demands: This job requires the following physical demands. Reasonable accommodation may be made. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use a computer for extended periods of time and to be able to communicate using a computer or smart device. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust. The noise level in the environment is usually moderate.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in marketing, communications, social media management, graphic design, content creation, or a related field. Experience with a nonprofit organization is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience creating and managing content across multiple social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.
• Proficiency in Canva and Adobe Suite is required.
• Experience with photography, videography, and video editing, including creating short-form content for digital and social media platforms.
• Strong copywriting, proofreading, and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize competing deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with staff across multiple YMCA branches.
• Experience using social media management platforms, email marketing software, content management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
• Ability to analyze basic marketing metrics and prepare reports that support marketing initiatives.
• Passion for community engagement and the YMCA's mission, with the ability to communicate that mission through compelling storytelling.
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
• Selected applicants may be asked to complete a marketing skills assessment, which may include creating a flyer, social media graphic, or other marketing materials based on a provided prompt.
• Within 30 days of hire, completion of CPR/First Aid for Professional Rescuers Certification.
