Job Title: MaskerJob DescriptionThe Masker prepares and protects customer parts for plasma spray and paint processes by accurately masking, taping, and cleaning surfaces so coatings are applied only to specified areas and all parts pass inspection standards.
Responsibilities- Mask parts so that plasma spray is applied only to designated areas of the part surfaces.
- Apply tape to customer parts in preparation for plasma spray or paint processes.
- Clean parts thoroughly after plasma spray application to remove excess material and residue.
- Verify that all parts are sufficiently cleaned to meet inspection requirements and quality standards.
- Perform paint and spray preparation tasks, including surface cleaning and masking, in a manufacturing environment.
- Follow production instructions and general labor procedures to support efficient workflow.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail to ensure accurate masking, clean lines, and defect-free surfaces.
- Handle parts and tools safely, using mechanical knowledge and manual dexterity to avoid damage to components.
- Support general production activities related to masking, prep, and cleaning as needed.
Essential Skills- Experience with masking parts for spray or paint applications.
- Hands-on experience with paint preparation and surface cleaning in a production or manufacturing setting.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate masking and thorough cleaning.
- Ability to perform general production and general labor tasks reliably.
- Mechanical knowledge to understand part configurations and masking requirements.
- Manual dexterity to handle small parts, tape, and tools precisely.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions for masking and cleaning processes.
- Commitment to meeting inspection and quality standards for finished parts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience in aerospace or manufacturing environments is beneficial.
- Experience working with plasma spray or similar coating processes is a plus.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a production team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to specific masking and cleaning procedures.
