Seeking an experienced Material Planner who is focused on making sure the right materials are available at the right time, at the lowest cost, while keeping customers satisfied.Core of the jobYou'll plan and manage materials across internal production, warehouses, and external vendors. That includes using systems (like SAP) to track inventory, place and monitor purchase orders, schedule production, and coordinate shipments—especially overseas.Key responsibilitiesRun material planning (MRP) for raw materials, intermediates, and finished goodsTrack inventory, maintain min/max levels, and reduce excess or expired stockSchedule production and optimize batch sizesPlace and manage purchase orders and supplier coordinationMonitor shipments and container logisticsReport performance (KPIs like on‑time delivery, inventory levels, costs) and explain any issuesCollaborate daily with teams like Sales, Customer Service, Shipping, Quality, and global planning groupsSupport efficiency efforts (lean/5S) and ensure compliance with company standardsWhat success looks likeStrong on‑time delivery performanceLower inventory levels and wasteControlled material and shipping costsSmooth coordination across departments and suppliersBasic RequirementsHigh school diploma (degree preferred)Strong communication and organization skillsExperience with SAP and Microsoft Office (preferred)Ability to handle pressure, multitask, and work independentlyWillingness to travelPhysical/working conditionsMix of desk work and some physical activity (lifting up to 20 lbs, standing, etc.)Exposure to industrial environments (chemicals, fumes)Some international travel may be required.Bottom lineThis is a logistics-heavy role that combines planning, coordination, and problem-solving to keep production running efficiently and customers satisfied.#J-18808-Ljbffr
