The material planner will coordinate material supply from our own production facilities, other Mankiewicz sites, warehouses and external vendors to support seamless supply chain operations and fulfil customer demand. This full‑time, onsite position reports to the Supply Chain Manager and collaborates closely with Sales, Customer Service, Global Material Planning, Global Purchasing and external suppliers.ResponsibilitiesMRP activities: raw materials, intermediates, finished goods, recertification, batch traceability.Create and report daily deviations to KPI benchmarks to the Supply Chain Manager.Maintain accurate master data in SAP.Place, schedule and monitor purchase orders within Mankiewicz and with external vendors.Plan and order consumables.Schedule and monitor overseas containers to Mankiewicz warehouses.Co‑ordinate and monitor inventories.Schedule production and determine optimal batch sizes.Perform make‑or‑buy analysis related to logistical needs and purchase cost.Maintain min/max inventory levels.Reduce days inventory held and amount of expired materials.Ensure on‑time delivery (OTD).Coordinate daily material demands.Apply 5S and lean management principles.Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.Perform other duties as required to meet mission and goals.Interface FunctionsSupply Chain Manager – report deviations, potential deviations, opportunities.Sales, Customer Service – communicate market demands, delays, priorities.Shipping – coordinate supply needs for raw materials and intermediates.QC, Colorimetric – communicate proper workflow, prioritise orders.Material Planning Hamburg – prioritise, global process standard.Quality Management – ensure compliance with global standards.Parameters to Increase ProfitabilityOn‑time delivery.Days inventory held.Amount of expired goods.Purchase order shipping cost.Material and consumable cost.Order lot size.Production efficiency (input, output, batch sizes).Job RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Experience with SAP (preferred).Experience with CIP, FMEA, etc. (preferred).Excellent computer proficiency (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and provide positive customer service.Ability to travel domestically and internationally, including proof of vaccination when required.Ability to work independently and complete assignments within given instructions and accepted practices.Physical Requirements / Working ConditionsPerform essential job functions consistent with ADA and related laws.Maintain regular, punctual attendance.Frequent walking, standing, heavy lifting and carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching.Exposure to fumes and hazardous chemicals.Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Lift and carry up to 20 pounds.Communicate clearly on the telephone.BenefitsCompetitive benefit package.11 annual company‑paid holidays.Tuition Reimbursement Program.Generous 401(k) employer contribution.Paid Time Off (PTO) including vacation and sick days.On‑the‑job training and skill development.Safe and team‑oriented work environment.Employee recognition program.Generous employee referral bonus.Mankiewicz Coatings LLC is an Equal Opportunity /Affirmative Action Employer.
