Seemann Composites is AS9100 Quality System certified.The Material Handler is responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely movement, storage, and distribution of materials throughout the facility. This role supports production and warehouse operations by ensuring materials are properly received, staged, issued, and documented to meet operational needs.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesReceive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against packing slips and purchase orders.Safely transport materials to designated storage or production areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or carts.Stage materials for production according to work orders and schedules.Maintain accurate inventory records using manual logs or inventory management systems.Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventories as required.Ensure materials are properly labeled, stored, and protected from damage.Load and unload trucks in accordance with safety procedures.Return unused materials to inventory and update records accordingly.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company and OSHA standards.Communicate material shortages, damages, or discrepancies to supervisors.Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist other departments as needed.Other DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.Prior experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling role preferred.Forklift certification or ability to become certified.Basic math skills and ability to read work orders, labels, and inventory documentation.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Essential Physical RequirementsAbility to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods. Ability to operate material handling equipment safely.
