This requires working collaboratively with other departments including Engineering, Production, Service, and Sales, as well as, working with suppliers. The Materials Coordinator reports directly to the Materials Manager.Duties / ResponsibilitiesWork and communicate collaboratively with the rest of the facility leadership team, corporate, customers, and suppliersFacilitate a culture that is focused on team member experience, customer experience, and leadershipCount and order materials to meet the HBF production requirementsAvoid / minimize material shortagesMaintain the least amount of material in inventory required to meet production needsOperate and order within the defined supply terms (lead time, minimum order quantity, delivery… ), corporate contracts, and SOP'sHold suppliers accountable to terms and performance standardsOptimize inventory turnsVendor management and communicationManage the issue resolution / quality processLead and reconcile quarterly physical inventory countsCollaborate with other departments to ensure:Timely and accurate receipt and storage of inventory including proper rotation of inventory - FIFOProper capture of pricing, terms, and incentives (cash discounts, rebates, etc.)Management and accounting for damaged, slow moving, and obsolete materialsData integrity and maintenanceEfficient facility layoutOther responsibilities as assignedQualificationsHigh School DiplomaProficient in Microsoft ExcelStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAttention to detailExperience and commitment to lean principles greatly desiredManufacturing materials management experience a plusWhy Clayton?Full-time team members have the flexibility to create their own health, dental, and vision benefits package.
