Overview Join to apply for the Materials Planner role at PurposeBuilt Brands .The Materials Planner is responsible for PO execution through PO receipt for the assigned category to support the production schedule. It serves as the execution arm to Planning by maintaining daily, open communication with suppliers while supporting downstream finished good planning and production schedule stability. The role requires identifying and escalating material disruptions in a timely manner for remedy, reporting materials OTIF and root cause analysis, and leading team updates. This role involves open communication with Supply Planning, Operations, Procurement, and suppliers, and partners with the Senior Supply Planning Manager to solve front line issues.What You Will Do Manages an efficient MRP process for assigned categories within the respective portfolioRecommends process improvements and innovative solutions to support achievement of goals related to suppliers and materialsMonitor raw and packaging material inventory to achieve optimal performance levels and mitigate shortages or supply gaps through data interpretation, planning parameter management, distribution footprint and taking necessary actionPrepare monthly rolling and annual purchasing forecasts of raw & packaging materials to suppliers and internal stakeholdersEvaluate monthly supply plans and mitigate exposure to excess inventory cost and waste (SMOG)Drive decisions and trade-offs to optimize the supply plan and communicate to stakeholdersCreate and manage POs to support production schedule and follow up with suppliers as needed to ensure timely deliveryHighlight material shortages that will impact the schedule as identifiedMaster data ownership and compliance for assigned categoriesAssist in reconciling invoices and resolving receiving transaction discrepanciesMeasure, analyze and communicate supplier delivery performance (OTIF)Participate in regular Executive Business Reviews to provide perspective on suppliers' capacities, reliability, and improvement needsIdentify options to drive resolution to supply/inventory risk and escalate to the Senior Supply Planning ManagerWhat You Will Bring Bachelor's degree in business discipline or equivalent experienceAPICS Certification desired2+ years of experience in materials planning, purchasing, or other Supply Chain planning areaStrong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively engage others as necessary to resolve issuesExcellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external contactsDetail oriented with high attention to accuracyAbility to work independently and make informed decisions on daily tactical tasks and support strategic initiativesAbility to remain calm, prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing prioritiesProficiency in manufacturing MRPProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel – Intermediate, PowerPoint, Word) requiredCompensation Compensation Range$75,600 - $84,000Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job related skills, experience, location, and relevant education or training.
