This position reports to the Materials Manager and will work in the Pompano Beach, FL facility.About the positionAs a Materials Planner of the Pompano Beach team, you will be responsible for the purchase of direct and indirect materials in a timely and economic fashion.Your main responsibilitiesReview MRP messages daily and place or reschedule vendor orders as required in order to meet production schedule datesEnsure all teams have materials on hand required to meet customer demands in a profitable mannerMaintain inventory levels according to our business planEnsure the quality of purchased materials meets Engineering specificationsMaintain a professional day-to-day business relationship with suppliersAdhere to all ISO Procedures and Work InstructionsFollows up on information received from sales, engineering, marketing, and operations to support product transition/additionAssist manufacturing in executing the physical inventory processInteract with Engineering, Operations, Scheduling, Quality, and other departments that require material coordinationParticipate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities to disposition non-conforming componentsParticipate, as needed, in program review and new product introduction meetingsProvide timely input to management regarding problems such as shortages and design changesSuggests, investigates and supports the implementation of cost savings initiativesWorks to resolve issues impacting timely payments to suppliersUsing available tools, monitor supplier performance and request corrective actions when requiredPerforms other related duties as requiredWhat do we offer?You are offered an interesting role in a dynamic, fast paced and global environment with great opportunities to grow and take on new challenges.
