Mechanical Assembler: Machesney Park, Illinois

Our customer in Machesney Park, Illinois, is seeking motivated individuals to join their team. We're recruiting Mechanical Assemblers to work full-time on 1st shift. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for cleaning components, assembling parts, and ensuring products meet quality standards.

Responsibilities of the Mechanical Assembler:

• Clean components and work areas to maintain quality and safety standards.
• Perform material handling and assembly of mechanical parts.
• Cut insulation, bolt units, and caulk assemblies per specifications.
• Assemble plenums within the product line according to production guidelines.
• Read blueprints and use measuring tools to ensure accuracy.
• Operate forklifts and power tools in compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Inspect completed assemblies to meet inspection requirements.

Mechanical Assembler Requirements and Qualifications:

• Basic mechanical skills and ability to use hand tools effectively.
• Blueprint reading and tape measure experience preferred.
• Physical ability to perform hands-on tasks in a manufacturing environment.
• Comfortable working at heights and using lifts or ladders.
• Primary education completed.
• Must read and understand English.
• 0–3 years of manufacturing or related experience.

$19/hour.
