Location: Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio (44223)
Pay: $24/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Job Type: Contract up to 5 months

Mechanical Assembler - Precision Manufacturing Specialist

Must Haves

  • Hands-on experience assembling capital equipment
  • 2-5 years of machine building experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong ability to read and interpret:
    • Blueprints
    • Schematics
    • Assembly instructions
    • Work orders
    • Engineering drawings and models
  • Ability to build equipment to engineering specifications, ensuring accuracy and quality throughout the production process
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the role, including training on company-specific processes and equipment
Nice to Have
  • Experience in the tire and rubber industry
What You'll Do:
  • Assemble sub-assemblies, final assemblies, and systems according to detailed drawings, Bills of Materials, schematics, and instructions.
  • Operate and understand the use of hand tools, small power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Interpret pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing schematics and symbols to support assembly and repairs.
  • Inspect completed work meticulously, ensuring it meets specifications before passing to the next phase.
  • Perform repairs and refurbishments to maintain operational integrity of assemblies.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and cross-functional teams to resolve issues efficiently and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Support inventory management through cycle counts and maintain documentation.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety policies to promote a safe work environment.
  • Utilize personal hand tools effectively, maintaining tools for optimal performance.
  • Other duties as assigned to support production and quality goals.
Required Skills:
  • Proven experience assembling capital equipment in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong understanding of blueprints, schematic diagrams, and work instructions.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, small power tools, and basic measuring devices.
  • Basic knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including schematics and plumbing.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to quality and safety.
  • Effective communication skills and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with machine shop equipment such as mills and lathes.
  • Welding, soldering, or brazing experience.
  • Tow motor, overhead crane, or other material handling equipment knowledge.
  • Troubleshooting skills with digital and analog systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and manufacturing software like D365.
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; relevant work experience in machine building or manufacturing.
  • 2-5 years of hands-on experience assembling mechanical systems, ideally in the tire or rubber industry.
Other Requirements:
  • Must own and maintain basic hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc.).
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment for up to 10 hours a day, standing, walking, reaching, or sitting as needed.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Flexibility to work overtime or weekends if required.
  • No travel required; occasional support requests may arise on the shop floor.
