We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to help design, develop, analyze, and improve complex vehicle systems and components. You will work on new product ideas, support prototypes and production, and collaborate with different teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical skills, 3D CAD experience, and the ability to work in a fast-moving product development environment.
This role is open ONLY to US Citizens as all candidates must be eligible for secret security clearance (clearance requires US Citizenship). Please note, clearance isn't required to start (only eligibility). Candidates who are Permanent Residents (Green Card Holders), TN visa holders, H1B or F1 (OPT/CPT) candidates are NOT permitted in this role. This role is NOT open to corp2corp (C2C) or corp2hire (C2H).

Key Responsibilities
Research and recommend new technologies to improve products and processes
Design and develop mechanical systems that meet performance, safety, reliability, and customer requirements
Create and manage: Engineering layouts, Drawings, Specifications, Bills of Materials (BOMs)
Perform engineering analysis to support design and material decisions
Support prototype builds, testing, and production activities
Troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues from manufacturing, suppliers, and customers
Work with suppliers and cross-functional teams to solve technical problems
Ensure designs follow engineering standards and best practices
Guide designers and drafters as needed
Help plan and prioritize engineering work for the team
Prepare reports, presentations, and technical documentation
Support continuous improvement and product development efforts
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
3+ years of experience in mechanical/product design or development
Experience with Creo or CATIA for 3D design
Experience with Windchill PLM systems
Strong understanding of drawings and GD&T
Good communication and teamwork skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Strong organization and time management skills
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Clearance (if required)
Preferred Experience
Advanced 3D CAD and PLM tools experience
Knowledge of vehicle systems and mechanical components
Experience with prototypes, testing, and production launch
Understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability
Strong technical writing and presentation skills
Experience working in cross-functional engineering teams
