This opportunity with Black & Veatch supports mechanical engineering efforts within the Mission Critical Solution, where infrastructure is designed to protect national security and support high consequence federal missions. Mission critical infrastructure includes mechanical systems that support environmental control, equipment reliability, and continuous facility operation. The Virtual Design & Data Solutions (VDDS) Staff Mechanical Engineering Technician supports the development of high quality mechanical engineering deliverables for complex infrastructure projects. This role applies advanced technical knowledge to assist with mechanical system layouts, HVAC plans, equipment arrangements, and associated mechanical details using Autodesk Revit. The technician supports interdisciplinary coordination using Autodesk Navisworks and performs drawing review and markup in Bluebeam to ensure accuracy, constructability, and compliance with design standards. Working closely with mechanical engineers and project teams, this position supports both conceptual and detailed design efforts to deliver consistent, mission aligned mechanical solutions.

Diploma or Certificate required. Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
Typically a minimum of 5 years related work experience.
