Member Glow Specialist

Bay Area Organization of Black Owned Businesses (BAOBOB) seeks a Member Glow Specialist to manage and schedule member satisfaction projects. The Member Glow Specialist will identify and secure new business members to join the BAOBOB network. The ideal teammate is:friendly, organized, proactive, punctual, a multi-tasker, community focused, Bay Area based, and committed to dismantling systemic inequities in the Black community via improved economic stability.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Membership Sales: generate and pursue qualified business leads
• Member Care: understand and implement mission and strategy for canopy (top tier) members
• Social Media: help bloom member engagement and manage expectations
• Team Meetings: attend and provide weekly updates
• Project Management Support: crm and project management software integration
• Research and Development: establish, document and maintain authoritative knowledge on Oakland's small business economy. Attend events hosted by BAOBOB and BAOBOB members as scheduled

Compensation: 20 hours monthly at $19/hr (add'l hours with approval) 10% commission on new membership income (sales) after 30 day orientation

Requirements: AA or minimum 2 yrs college, 2 yrs customer service experience, proficiency with project management software (Zoho or similar), proficiency with social media platforms (FB, Instagram, LinkedIn)
