The Merchandising Brand Associate supports the Wellness and Beauty business by partnering across Merchandising, QA, Legal, Category Production, and vendors to manage the brand and product lifecycle. The role focuses on evaluating new brands and products, supporting the pre-claims and storytelling process, improving on-air and digital brand execution, and helping identify market trends, storytelling opportunities, and potential risks.
This role is hybrid and will require you to be onsite at West Chester, PA several days per month (onsite days are predetermined and standard across the company). Job seekers must reside in one of the following states to be considered: PA, DE, or NJ. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.
Support the evaluation of new beauty and wellness brands and products before purchase order creation
Partner with Merchandising, QA, Legal, and Category Production to move products through onboarding and claims-readiness workflows
Review vendor storytelling and launch materials to identify opportunities to strengthen product positioning, differentiation, and customer-facing messaging
Help translate complex product details into clear, concise claims, features, and benefits for on-air and digital use
Knowledgeable on Vendor Claims Guidelines within Legal – communicates any themes or patterns they discover to Leader
Communicate internal feedback to vendors and help them understand substantiation and documentation expectations before formal claims submission
Coordinate vendor meetings and cross-functional touchpoints to align on next steps, track progress, and keep launches moving forward
Monitor onboarding status and raise concerns when product claims or story elements do not clearly support the product positioning
Track recurring themes, process gaps, and opportunities within claims and storytelling workflows and share insights with leadership and partner teams
Follow market and category trends to identify whitespace opportunities that can support product discovery and brand storytelling
Support briefs and updates on higher-risk or more complex brands and products, including key issues and possible solutions
Serve as a consistent point of contact for vendors throughout the storytelling and pre-claims process
Bachelors degree and 2+ years of experience
Experience or familiarity with FTC and FDA requirements & guidelines is preferred
