    Description

    What is a HUB Inventory Specialist?Hub Inventory Specialist is responsible for Hub order fulfillment and inventory control. The individual in this role should have good knowledge of store systems, basic parts knowledge and good interpersonal skills. The role has in-depth knowledge of the store inventory and requires the ability to network with nearby stores, hubs, pdq and external suppliers for order fulfillment. This position is full time. Position can be MVR certified and should complete all training materials and attend all store meetings.Primary ResponsibilitiesResponsible for Hub operations and resolution of Hub orders in a timely mannerReview Hub orders, pulling parts, stage product, finalize paperworkInteraction with drivers on paperwork, instructions, etc.Engage store to facility network to determine part sourcing and logistics solutions; work with ordering store for fulfillment options if unavailable in networkWork with GM, DL and SSC support for proper inventory mix and levelsInventory accuracy and functions – cycle counts, outages, planograms, maxi changes, price changes, front & face, truck leadManage and comply with all Hub records and all paperwork policies and proceduresSecondary ResponsibilitiesAdditional inventory activities including overstocks, callbacks, resetsSafely deliver parts to customers as neededAssist with front room inventory functionsAssist with cores and defectsFixed activities: store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, parking lotSuccess FactorsFriendly communicationAbility to locate and stock partsSafety Knowledge And SkillsOperating inventory systems and store equipment, including forklift, pallet jack and/or hand jackParts And Automotive System Knowledge SkillsOperating POS and parts lookup systemsEssential Job Skills Necessary for Success as a HUB Inventory SpecialistMust be competent at oral and written communications and handle basic math computationsShould have prior retail experience, including basic merchandising and inventory management skillsAble to drive forklift, if certified and applicable, and use a hand truck and pallet jackShould be well mannered, neat in appearance and possess the ability to meet and deal with the public in an unbiased mannerPrevious work records should demonstrate stability and performance resultsScheduling factors necessitate that the individual should be able to come to work on short notice, and/or work flexible hours including nights and weekendsImmediately report to General Manager and/or District Leader any violation of company policy or procedurePrior Experience that Sets a HUB Inventory Specialist Up for SuccessInventory management in a retail environmentEducationHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)Physical DemandsThe employee must be able to walk or stand for long periods, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 100 pounds, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, and perform tasks requiring reach, climb or balance. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Work EnvironmentTypically inside the facility but occasionally outside and exposed to various weather conditions while performing tasks such as installing batteries and wiper blades. The employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, high, precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, explosives, and vibration. The noise level is usually moderate.Compensation RangeThe good faith estimate for this role is between 18.85 USD and 20.98 USD per hour for a new team member.
