We are currently looking for an experienced CNC Milling Setup Technician to join our growing team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our CNC milling machines are set up correctly and ready to produce precision parts efficiently and consistently.

What You’ll Do

• • Set up CNC milling machines for production runs according to setup sheets and blueprints
  • Install and align vises, fixtures, and workholding devices
  • Load and verify CNC programs and make minor adjustments when necessary
  • Install and set tooling, including tool length offsets and wear offsets
  • Establish work coordinates and verify proper machine setup
  • Perform first-piece inspections using precision measuring tools
  • Troubleshoot machining issues such as chatter, tool wear, or dimensional inaccuracies
  • Work closely with operators and supervisors to maintain production flow
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

What We’re Looking For

• • 3+ years of CNC milling setup or advanced machining experience
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
  • Strong knowledge of tooling, feeds, and speeds
  • Experience with CNC controls such as Fanuc CNC Control, Haas CNC Control, or similar systems
  • Proficiency with measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and indicators
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• • Technical or trade school training in machining or manufacturing
  • Experience with CAM software such as Mastercam or Fusion 360
  • Experience with multi-axis milling is a plus
