Assign and monitor the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of all FedEx trunk aircraft by supporting the Technical Operations division within FedEx Air Operations. This includes executing the core functions of Routing, Scheduling, and Planning to coordinate Aircraft Line Maintenance tasks in strict compliance with the FedEx GMM, Aircraft Maintenance Programs, company policies, and FAA regulations. This critical, 24/7/365 essential position holds significant regulatory, legal, safety, and strategic responsibilities. The role is solely accountable for ensuring aircraft are properly positioned and fully compliant with flight requirements set by FedEx Global Network Planning and the MX Operations Control Liaison.
Essential Functions
Develop and distribute maintenance plans and reports; monitor compliance of maintenance plan with applicable regulations.
Ensure aircraft routing aligns with the revenue schedule and scheduled maintenance events.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree/equivalent in aeronautical discipline required. Or A&P, ATP, or DSP FAA license with two (2) years of aviation maintenance experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Current knowledge of FedEx maintenance programs, operation specifications, and applicable portion of the federal air regulations desired.
Must meet department proficiency requirements. Strong analytical and communication skills.
Ability to work odd work weeks and rotating shifts.
Job Conditions
Non-covered safety sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
Preferred Qualifications: The desired location for this position would be Memphis, TN. Employees will be required to work at the FedEx location five days a week.
