Electrical (Low voltage) Designer with AutoCAD skills - Northern WA area

Our client in Northern WA area is a Security System company looking for an electrical Designer with experience in Low Voltage electrical design with AutoCAD skills to design alarm systems and create schematics/diagrams.

Position purpose/core responsibilities:

The Drafter will produce electrical and alarm system designs and drawings in AutoCAD and maintain design department resources (block libraries, etc).

Main Duties:

It is expected that the following duties will be performed in a timely, accurate manner while following appropriate procedures and meeting applicable standards of performance and deadlines.

• Create designs and drawings in AutoCAD from engineering specifications..
• Ensure designs adhere to company standards and engineering requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of low voltage electrical systems design

• Professional AutoCAD drafting experience: 3+years (Preferred)

• Able to understand system specification documents and convert these into designs and drawings.

• Able to discuss system designs with engineering staff and communicate design intent to customers.

• Reliable, punctual, detail-orientated.

• Strong computer technical skills.

• Effectively communicate with team members.

• Ability to shift priorities quickly.

• Electrical or Engineering Drafting background.

• On-site commercial construction experience a plus.
