
Maintenance Mechanic - Night Shift Jobot

OverviewMaintain production machinery and mechanical equipment in proper repair and working condition according to schedule, fabricate basic machine parts, and provide replacement parts. Install, test, service, troubleshoot, and repair all facility electrical equipment and systems.Location: US‑Ohio‑MiddlefieldResponsibilitiesInstall, repair, maintain, move, align, erect, or install production/facility/electrical equipment based on written instructions, drawings, samples, or sketches.Design, program, repair, and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) systems.Complete work orders, PM rounds, repairs, and general maintenance.Diagnose issues and determine repairs needed; repair, refit, or replace parts.Reorder supplies and equipment as needed.Lay out carpentry work and specify materials, including finishing and masonry work.Notify supervisor or designated personnel of any irregularities or problems with supplies, machinery, or processes.Participate in training sessions, seminars, and continual improvement opportunities.Ensure safety: verify that area and equipment are safe before proceeding; check all safety equipment; follow all facility safety rules and procedures; wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).Adhere to lock‑out/tag‑out procedures when equipment is down for repair or cleaning.Clean tools and maintain tool boards while keeping workstation and surrounding area clean and organized.Keep equipment in safe operating condition and report problems to the Maintenance department.Participate in training new associates as directed by the supervisor.Perform any other project/task as assigned by management.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent (desired); associate or technical degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred.Three years industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing (preferred).Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, service manuals, and maintenance records.Understanding of mechanics, hydraulics, electrical and electronic control systems, pneumatics, HVAC, rubber industry production equipment, internal combustion engines, and single and three‑phase electric motors.Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).Ability to read a tape measure.Strong computer/system skills – MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
