Location: Stamford, CT & Rye, NY Duration: 6 months + Note - Candidates work at least two days per week in Stamford (preferably more). The remaining days can be split between the New York office and one day per week working from home.Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled.NET / C# Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications. The ideal candidate has strong experience with C# and the.NET framework and is comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain applications using C# and.NET /.NET CoreWrite clean, scalable, and well-documented codeParticipate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, product, and DevOpsDebug, troubleshoot, and optimize application performanceDevelop and consume RESTful APIsEnsure application security and data protection best practicesPerform code reviews and follow coding standardsStay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trendsRequired Skills & QualificationsStrong proficiency in C# and .NET Framework /.NET CoreExperience with ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core.Net C#, object-oriented programming core with 8-10 years' experienceKnowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) principlesExperience with SQL Server or other relational databasesFamiliarity with Entity Framework / ORM toolsUnderstanding of REST APIs and web servicesExperience with Git or other version control systemsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsGood communication and teamwork abilitiesNeed one of the following business area exposures with other hedge funds/asset:Treasury: Margin, financing costs, optimization, and locatesOperations: Post-trade recs, affirmations, break resolutions, dispute process, allocations, etc. No trader or PM financingAccountingCompliancePreferred / Nice-to-Have SkillsExperience with Azure / AWSKnowledge of Microservices architectureFront-end experience (Angular, React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS)CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesUnit testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, MSTest)Agile/Scrum experienceEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)Experience in.NET/C# developmentPrior financial services experience, at a minimum within a bank, and ideally within a hedge fund environment.We are committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace where individuals from all backgrounds feel valued and empowered to contribute their unique perspectives.
