Location: Chicago, IL / Hybrid (3 days a week in the office)

Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly skilled .NET Developer with strong experience in enterprise application development, API development, and Microsoft technologies. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting business-critical applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in .NET application development
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • C#
    • ASP.NET Core
    • ASP.NET MVC
    • .NET Framework and .NET 6/7/8
    • RESTful APIs and Web Services
    • Entity Framework
    • LINQ
    • SQL Server
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
  • Experience using Git, Azure DevOps, or similar source control tools
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
Preferred Qualifications
  • Microsoft Azure (App Services, Functions, Storage, Key Vault)
  • Azure DevOps CI/CD Pipelines
  • Microservices Architecture
  • Docker and Kubernetes
  • React, Angular, or Blazor
  • OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and authentication frameworks
  • Experience integrating with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Workday
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable .NET applications
  • Develop and maintain REST APIs and backend integrations
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Perform application enhancements, bug fixes, and production support
  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and project managers
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across environments
  • Support deployment and release management activities
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
Education

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Additional Information
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills required.
  • Previous consulting or enterprise application development experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced client environment.
