Job Description

We are seeking an experienced .NET Programmer Analyst to support the modernization of a large-scale enterprise tolling transaction platform. This initiative involves a partial system rewrite using microservices, modular architecture, and modern .NET Core technologies. The selected candidate will work in a collaborative Agile/Scrum environment alongside solution architects, cloud engineers, SQL developers, API developers, and QA teams to design, develop, and enhance backend services and application components.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in .NET Core, C#, REST APIs, SQL Server, Azure, and CI/CD pipelines, with a passion for developing scalable, high-performance enterprise applications.

Required Skills

• 9+ years of experience developing applications using .NET Core and C#.
• 7+ years of experience designing and developing REST APIs and microservices.
• 7+ years of experience integrating applications with SQL Server hosted on Azure Virtual Machines.
• 7+ years of experience applying object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, design patterns, and software development best practices.
• 7+ years of experience using Azure DevOps or GitHub for source control and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• 7+ years of experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Strong analytical, debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• 5+ years of experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• 5+ years of experience implementing Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and microservices-based architectures.
• 5+ years of experience developing applications in distributed or high-availability environments.
• Knowledge of tolling or transportation systems is preferred but not required.
• 3+ years of experience integrating backend applications with ETL technologies such as SSIS or Databricks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain .NET Core backend services and RESTful APIs.
• Build scalable and maintainable application components using C# and modern development practices.
• Collaborate with SQL developers to design and implement efficient data access and database integration.
• Support the modernization of the enterprise tolling platform through microservices and modular application architecture.
• Develop new features while enhancing and maintaining existing application functionality.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability across multiple system layers.
• Integrate applications with Azure cloud services and platform components.
• Implement and support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate closely with architects, cloud engineers, QA teams, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions on schedule.
