(NOW HIRING) Automotive Inventory Clerk - Southern Team Auto Mall

Job Description

Southern Team Automall in Roanoke, Virginia, is seeking an experienced, organized, and detail-oriented AUTOMOTIVE INVENTORY CLERK.  This is a deadline-driven, clerical position.  Previous accounting experience and auto dealership experience preferred but not required.  Candidates will possess professional communication skills, flexibility, ability to work both independently and as part of a team (willingness to cross-train), ability to work with interruptions, must have excellent math and data entry skills.

This is a full-time, non-remote opportunity.  Candidates must be punctual and dependable.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or 12 months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong communication skills, prioritize, and time management required
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record — no DUI or reckless driving
• Knowledge of accounting software (CDK) and Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
• Working knowledge of accounting standards and relevant legal regulations preferred
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and strict deadlines
• Desire to learn the many different facets of a dealership accounting office including cross-training in switchboard and other accounting positions
• Must be at least 20 years old

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Issuing checks
• Stocking in vehicles
• Process dealer trades
• Process wholesales
• General office support

This position will require standing, sitting, reaching, and bending. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
