Order Picker / Packager

This role focuses on accurately picking, inspecting, and packaging small parts used in side-view mirrors for semi-trucks and larger RVs. You will work at a waist-high conveyor system, handle light to moderate lifting, and use basic computer tools to manage inventory, print labels, and complete order documentation. The position combines hands-on warehouse work with attention to detail and quality control in a clean, organized environment.

Responsibilities

• Pick and package small parts for side-view mirrors for semi-trucks and larger RVs according to order specifications.
• Inspect parts for quality and accuracy before packaging to ensure they meet required standards.
• Perform inventory checks to confirm correct quantities are selected and packaged for each order.
• Wrap and package components securely to complete orders and prepare them for shipment.
• Stand at a waist-high conveyor system and move completed boxes by rolling them to the end of the conveyor.
• Use a computer to locate purchase receipts, verify order information, and ensure accurate processing.
• Print labels and apply them correctly to packages for shipping and inventory tracking.
• Return parts to inventory locations as needed and accurately enter completed parts into the system.
• Count and weigh parts to verify quantities and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Lift packages weighing between 2530 lbs occasionally, with most packages weighing less than 10 lbs.
• Follow established warehouse procedures for picking, packing, and shipping to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and support overall warehouse organization.
• Work collaboratively with warehouse, maintenance, and production team members to ensure smooth operations.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of warehouse experience.
• At least 1 year of packaging experience.
• Experience with inventory processes in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to perform order picking accurately and efficiently.
• Basic computer skills to locate purchase receipts, enter completed parts, and print labels.
• Familiarity with using RF scanners for picking and inventory (if applicable).
• Ability to count and weigh parts accurately.
• Capability to stand for extended periods at a conveyor system.
• Ability to occasionally lift 2530 lbs, with frequent handling of packages under 10 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in picking, packing, and labeling.

• Experience working in shipping or order fulfillment environments.
• Background in using warehouse management or inventory systems.
• Comfort working in a small, team-oriented warehouse setting.
• Ability to follow standardized processes and quality guidelines.

Work Environment

This position operates on a first shift schedule from 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., with no overtime expected while on contract. You will work in a clean and organized warehouse focused on picking, packing, and shipping, with no production line work. The environment is generally quiet and not excessively loud, though it can be warmer during the summer months. The facility maintains a small team atmosphere, with around 20 workers across production, warehouse, maintenance, and operations. Music plays in the background while you work, and you may also listen to your own music, contributing to a relaxed yet productive setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Berlin, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
