POSITION VACANCY POSTING #P-1815

POSITION TITLE: Substitute Teacher - 26/27 SY

LOCATION: Brooke County Schools

QUALIFICATIONS: Certification or license as required by the WV Department of Education

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains as fully as possible the established routines and procedures of the school and classroom(s) to which he/she is assigned.
• Teaches the lessons outlined and described in the Lesson Plans as prepared by the absent teacher(s).
• Consults with the building Principal before initiating any teaching or procedures not specified in the Lesson Plans.
• At the end of each teaching day, prepares a written report for the regular classroom teacher(s) about the work completed.
• Assumes responsibility for overseeing student behavior throughout the school day.
• Follows all policies, rules, and procedures to which regular teachers are subject and to which good teaching practice dictates.
• Reports to the building Principal at the conclusion of the teaching day, and verifies whether or not his/her services will be required the nest teaching day.
• Performs other duties that may be assigned by the Principal.

Salary based on experience and education level per CBOE salary schedule plus competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation.
