PackagerHuntsman is seeking a Packager supporting the Advanced Materials Division located in Los Angeles, California. This position will report to the Logistics Supervisor Operations Advanced Materials.This role is responsible for the accurate packaging, labeling, verification, and preparation of specialty chemical products for customer shipment. Working as part of the Packaging team within Operations, the Packager plays a critical role in ensuring products are packaged safely, documented correctly, and delivered in accordance with customer, quality, and regulatory requirements. Employees also have the opportunity to progress through a structured qualification-based tier system that rewards skill development, demonstrated proficiency, and expanded responsibilities.Key ResponsibilitiesSafety & ComplianceFollow all Environmental, Health, Safety, Quality, and operating proceduresUtilize required PPE and follow safe material handling practicesMaintain housekeeping standards and ensure work areas remain clean, organized, and inspection-readyFollow applicable packaging, transportation, and regulatory requirements, including DOT, IMDG, and IATA requirementsSafely handle chemicals, drums, containers, and materials in accordance with site proceduresPackaging OperationsProcess, package, label, and prepare customer orders in accordance with approved work instructions and quality requirementsComplete final packaging and order-closeout activities accurately and on timeFollow packaging schedules and workflow priorities to support customer commitmentsAccess and print SDS and required shipping documentationSafely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to support packaging activitiesStore materials in designated locations in accordance with site procedures and product storage requirementsQuality & DocumentationVerify product identity, lot numbers, labels, quantities, and packaging requirements prior to shipmentComplete batch records, packaging documentation, shipping documentation, and other required records accuratelySupport inventory accuracy through proper documentation, material tracking, and cycle count activities as assignedIdentify and communicate quality concerns, documentation discrepancies, or packaging issues promptlyTeamwork & ReliabilityWork independently and collaboratively while following written and verbal instructionsCommunicate effectively with Production, Quality, Logistics, and other support functionsDemonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and production schedulesSupport continuous improvement efforts that enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and workplace organizationWhat Success Looks Like (612 Months)Consistently demonstrates safe work behaviors and compliance with site proceduresMaintains a high level of packaging accuracy and attention to detailCompletes packaging, quality, and shipping documentation accurately and on timeMeets packaging schedules while maintaining quality and regulatory standardsDemonstrates reliability, strong attendance, and flexibility to support business needsBuilds strong working relationships across Operations and support functionsProgresses through qualification requirements and expands proficiency within the Packaging functionQualificationsYou must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. This position is scheduled Monday through Friday on either 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.We consider a number of business-related factors when making individual compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training.Step progression is available based on qualification, with a minimum of 12 months before an associate may qualify for progression.Huntsman offers outstanding benefits which start from Day One.Competitive healthcare, dental, and vision.One additional week of paid time off - on top of vacation.401KHuntsman automatically contributes 6% of eligible pay, regardless of employee contribution.
