Description
Payroll Analyst
Pay Rate- $17-$18
Job Description:
Process and analyze time, earnings, and deductions/withholdings on a weekly basis to derive accurate net pay in compliance with union contracts and Human Resource/unit policies. Independently analyze and resolve complex payroll issues. Communicate with employees of various levels regarding pay questions, processes, and training. Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with peers, unit partners, and other functional areas.

Strong analytical skills and experience with complex data analysis
Strong interpersonal communication and teamwork skills
Ability to quickly learn multiple Payroll/IT software systems
Ability to approach change with a positive mindset
Ability to identify and implement process improvements
Experience using Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word
Mature candidates who can handle confidential information
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of payroll and payroll tax
Experience maintaining confidential information
Proficiency with SAP
Experience using IBM/Host applications, such as TSO (Time Sharing Option) and RMDS (Report Management and Distribution System)
Education: Associate or bachelor's degree in a business or accounting discipline or equivalent experience.
