People + Culture Generalist

Success awaits a hands-on, personable, motivated, and professional People + Culture Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate is an experienced, high-energy and empowered individual who will proactively provide constant support and guidance to our entire team regarding people resources, systems and SOPs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting Director of People and Culture with managing communication, maintaining calendar, preparing reports, providing assistance to team members, assisting with recruitment and interview process, preparing offer packets, coordinating new hire paperwork, administering employee benefit plans, assisting with colleague recognition programs, coordinating employee trainings, completing employment verifications, maintaining knowledge of wage and hour laws, overseeing organizational processes, updating department logs and spreadsheets, and maintaining filing and organization for HR department.

Skills include:

  • Experience with HR databases and HRIS systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Approach all encounters with guests and colleagues in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner
  • Comply with standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
  • Proactive in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving issues as necessary

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher required/PHR or SPHR certified preferred
  • Minimum of (2) years' experience actively serving in human resource management in a hotel/resort environment
  • Required proficiency, knowledge, and experience in all HR process: selection & employment, employee relations, compensation, benefits administration, employment law, workers compensation and talent management
  • Experience in ADP Workforce Now is a plus
