    Employment Type:Full timeShift:Day ShiftDescription:PERSONAL CARE ASSISTANTLocation: Elwyn, PAStatus: Full timeShift: Monday - Friday 6 am to 230 pm, every other weekend/ holidayIncentive: $2500 Sign on Bonus eligibilityPosition Purpose:This role impacts participants lives by providing essential personal care services and health support.Position Details:$2500 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment paid in 3 installments.This program provides services to a community specifically comprised of deaf seniors. All candidates must be willing to learn American Sign Language (ASL).What you will do:* Conduct ongoing participant assessments and monitoring.* Provide assistance with daily activities, including toileting, grooming, and meals.* Aid in maintaining physical activity and exercise routines.* Identify safety hazards and respond to emergencies.* Assist with recreational activities, meal service, and housekeeping.* Report any changes in participant's condition to center staff.* Escort participants to appointments and assist with transportation.Minimum Qualifications:* High School Diploma or equivalent.* Minimum of one (1) year of documented experience working with a frail/elderly population or if less than one (1) year of experience, must receive appropriate training from the PACE organization upon hiring.* Must be willing to learn American Sign Language (ASL).
