Position SummaryRutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Planner Estimator for the Department of Transportation Services (DOTS). The position initiates, plans, and coordinates work orders for the repair, maintenance, changes and additions to the University Facilities.Key DutiesMaintains liaison with the department facilities coordinators, discussing individual problems and request with heads of all University departments.Provides a liaison to the campus community for getting facilities maintenance work done.Ensures service call work is accomplished in an appropriate time frame and that feedback is provided to requester.Ensures that preventive maintenance on assigned facilities is being completed in an effective and timely manner.Maintains a current and accurate inventory of needed work to maintain parking lots/decks up to standard.Provide timely estimating services to the campus community for the evaluation of project requests.Coordinates with Grounds/Custodial Supervisors as needed to correct or improve services for assigned facilities.Reviews new construction and alteration design drawings and specificationsMinimum Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in engineering technology or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.A minimum of two years' experience in institutional project work or maintenance field.LocationCity: New BrunswickState: NJSpecial ConditionsSafe Driving RecordPosting Number26ST1435#J-18808-Ljbffr
