Position

Surgicare of Hawaii's Unit Clerk will assist our nursing and clinical staff to provide basic patient care in the perioperative setting. They are responsible as a member of the Surgicare team to perform these tasks to achieve positive patient outcomes. This position will perform clerical, administrative duties as well as maintaining confidentiality of all patients.

Supervision

This position will be supervised by the PreOp/PACU charge nurse and nurse manager. Responsibilities include answering phones, discharging patients, chart audit, OMP, assist with clinical staff duties.

This is a part-time position, with a possibility of moving to full-time, Monday-Friday.

Education, Experience and Licenses

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able multi-task
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrates time-management, prioritization and organization skills
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology
• Basic Life Support Certification
