Seeking a Pricing Analyst for a 6-month contract opportunity to support pricing operations and analytics initiatives. This role is responsible for evaluating the financial impact of pricing strategies, maintaining product price books, and delivering data-driven insights that support business performance. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced working with large datasets to identify trends and optimize pricing outcomes.
Responsibilities
Pricing Analytics and Performance Measurement
Analyze the revenue, profitability, and margin impact of pricing initiatives and adjustments.
Monitor and report on pricing performance, key performance indicators (KPIs), and pricing effectiveness.
Evaluate price realization, margin trends, and the outcomes of pricing strategies.
Prepare actionable recommendations to improve pricing performance and business results.
Support post-implementation analysis and reviews of pricing programs and initiatives.
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and ongoing pricing analytics.
Price Book and Portfolio Management
Create, maintain, and manage pricing models across multiple product portfolios.
Ensure pricing data, price lists, and price books remain accurate and aligned with current business strategies.
Support updates to list prices, discount structures, and product configurations.
Validate pricing data across systems to ensure consistency, accuracy, and data integrity.
Assist with the standardization and optimization of pricing structures across product lines.
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to support pricing-related projects and initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
MBA or a minimum of 2 years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, business analytics, or a related function.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data modeling, PivotTables, and lookup functions.
Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with large datasets and translating data into actionable insights.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence and reporting tools.
Knowledge of pricing strategies, margin analysis, and pricing performance metrics.
Experience managing price lists, pricing models, or product portfolios.
Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
Experience supporting cross-functional teams and business decision-making through data analysis.
