PurposeThe Product Development New Markets Consultant will play a pivotal role in driving product innovation for emerging business opportunities at Athene. This position requires an entrepreneurial mindset to evaluate markets and enhance Athene and Apollo's competitive edge through the development of new products.AccountabilitiesAssist in the development of initial product ideas that can be shared with potential partners.Partner with internal cross‑functional teams including Marketing, Sales, Legal, and Asset Management to initiate product launches.Develop detailed business plans and work with Management on decisions to invest in new areas.Draft product policy forms and legal documents with potential clients and external partners.Assist in the execution of new ideas for all of Athene including drafting detailed product specifications, designing internal workflows, and serving as workstream leader.Develop presentation materials to facilitate internal transaction and product launch approval processes.Collaborate with other business units on all aspects of product launch execution and develop relationships with and knowledge of other parts of the organization including Finance, Treasury and Legal.Interpersonal skills required to promote cooperation from all levels of personnel.Analytical tenacity to investigate, troubleshoot and resolve problems in a timely manner.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree in mathematics, Economics, Finance or a related field.2+ years of experience in consulting, actuarial roles, financial services or the life insurance sector.Strong analytical skills including the ability to price products and develop business cases.Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage several projects.Exhibit dedication to completing tasks thoroughly and on time.Demonstrated passion for products that help address the retirement crisis.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Progress toward actuarial certification (ASA or FSA) is helpful but not required.Prior insurance experience is a plus.$102,800.00 - $154,200.00 USD Annual. Annual Salary for this role is market competitive. Actual salary for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
