The Production Planning Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring efficient workflow between the shop, customers, and carriers.ResponsibilitiesSafety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.Maintain and update Master and Dispatch schedules for all fabrication ordersCoordinate daily production and delivery schedules with Shop Manager, Supervisors, and DetailersArrange trucking with approved carriers and establish daily shipping schedulesCommunicate proactively with customers regarding delivery timelines and updatesAdjust schedules to accommodate changes in production, customer demand, or logistics challengesServe as a liaison between shop, field, customers, detailers, and carriers to resolve delivery or scheduling issuesProcess freight invoices, Bills of Lading, production tags, and shipping documentationMonitor deliveries and ensure shipments are completed accurately and on timeSupport inventory coordination and administrative processes as neededPrepare and maintain accurate records and documentationPerform additional duties as assignedLegally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the futurePreferred QualificationsTwo-year degree from an accredited school or collegePrior experience in construction, manufacturing, logistics, or dispatch operationsProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environmentHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailPhysical RequirementsAbility to walk, sit, stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasksAbility to lift and handle office equipment as neededUse of hands to operate computers and office toolsVisual ability including close vision and focus adjustmentAbility to work overtime as requiredNucor supports its teammates with top-tier benefits like Medical, Dental, Vision, and Disability Insurance, 401K and Roth accounts, Profit sharing, Pay‑for‑performance bonuses, Paid parental leave, Tuition reimbursement, Stock program, Scholarships and more.Nucor is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug-free workplace#J-18808-Ljbffr
