Overview Production Scheduler at Global Power Components, Milwaukee, WI.Global Power Components is a privately held manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures, and modular metal enclosures for housing electrical distribution and control equipment. The company operates from a modern facility to support growth and maintains a reputation as a leader in its industry.ResponsibilitiesCompile information from a variety of sources into a master schedule.Improve communication methods and scheduling processes to increase visibility of information to stakeholders on the plant floor.Check progress of work on the plant floor and report in the master schedule.Assist in coordinating the flow of work and materials between departments.Evaluate make-to-stock inventory and its impact on downstream production.Closely track status details on high-profile jobs to ensure timely delivery.Coordinate with Procurement, Quality, and Logistics to align production with material and capacity constraints.Perform administrative tasks as needed.Reports to Operations Manager, within the Production Control team.Apply an analytical mindset to distill streams of information into useful, pertinent, actionable information for production supervisors, with strong attention to detail.Collaborate effectively within a team of engineers and production personnel.QualificationsAssociates or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field.Relevant experience in production planning, scheduling, project management, or operations.Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems, project management tools, and Excel features (tables, filters, sorting); familiarity with Smartsheet or Epicor preferred.Verbal and written communication skills; professional demeanor.Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation between multiple facilities (approximately 10 miles apart).Equal Opportunity Employer/Minorities/Women/Veterans/DisabledGlobal Power Components is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
