    Description

    Position Summary The Production Scheduler I will provide/conduct daily production scheduling activities that support sales and operations planning while maximizing labor usage and ensuring a high level of customer service. Work with manufacturing leaders to ensure optimal schedule levels in accordance with plant capacity and key performance indicators. This position serves as a key cross-functional link between multiple Operations Campuses, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of production activities.Key Responsibilities Production Planning & SchedulingSequence production orders for production floor onto daily scheduleEnsure materials are available for planned schedule, and plan shipping requirements to meet scheduled ship datesReview upcoming schedules and determine action to fill and/or balance jobs to fall within production capacityMonitor the current day\'s schedule for updates and evaluate changes needed for priorities of workBatch orders into production jobs to initial start dates for production linesReleased batched jobs to production schedulesReview various planning reports to understand and calculate future demand and actions to be taken to accommodate to meet customer needsMove jobs on schedule when necessary, watching ship datesProcess production order changesScheduling of DMR (Damaged Material Report) notifications from operations for replacement of damaged materialCommunication & Coordination Collaborate closely, in person or via email, with on-site Managers and Supervisors, production floor and Client Services to ensure timely schedule requirementProcess Optimization Maintain a working knowledge of the full production lifecycle, from order entry through shippingImplement proactive improvement of processes and procedures to maximize capacity to improve results of key metrics and customer satisfactionExperience & Skills Education: High School diploma or equivalentExperience: Experience in a manufacturing office environment preferredSkills: Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with ERP systems (Strong knowledge of Epicor preferred). Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and OutlookCommunication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to negotiate priorities across departmentsSupply Chain Knowledge: Understanding of lean manufacturing principles, inventory management, logistics (material flow), and demand forecastingWork Environment/Travel Requirements Mostly an office environment with occasional visits to the manufacturing floor (proper PPE must be worn on manufacturing floor).
