    Job OverviewOur Switching and Fusing operation in Leeds, AL is looking for a Production Scheduler to grow with us as we grow! The Production Scheduler is responsible for developing, managing, and continuously optimizing production schedules to ensure efficient manufacturing operations and on-time delivery. This role serves as a critical link between customer demand, production execution, and material supply, balancing capacity, inventory, and workflow to drive operational performance. The position requires close collaboration with Production, Purchasing, Customer Service, Engineering, and Logistics teams to minimize disruptions, resolve constraints, and support continuous improvement initiatives.The Production Scheduler plays a vital role in ensuring alignment between customer demand, production capabilities, and material supply. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, cross‑functional collaboration, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while driving operational efficiency and on‑time delivery.A Day In The LifeDevelop, maintain, and adjust detailed production schedules based on demand, capacity, and material availabilityRelease and manage production orders aligned with manufacturing priorities and business objectivesMonitor production performance and modify schedules to address delays, bottlenecks, or changing prioritiesTrack backlog, capacity, and workflow across production lines and prioritize work centers accordinglyPartner with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Logistics teams to ensure material availabilityCollaborate with Customer Service on order status, expedite requests, and lead‑time inquiriesWork with Engineering and Manufacturing to resolve production issues and constraintsCommunicate schedule changes, risks, and impacts to key stakeholdersCoordinate with Sourcing/Purchasing related to suppliers/vendors to ensure timely delivery of materialsExpedite critical materials and production orders to meet delivery commitmentsOptimize inventory levels by managing lead times, reorder points, and material flowMaintain accurate ERP system data (SAP) for scheduling and planning activitiesAnalyze production, inventory, and forecast data to drive decision‑makingTrack and assist in resolution of production variances and system discrepanciesGenerate reports and provide insights on schedule performanceIdentify constraints and bottlenecks and implement corrective actionsParticipate in production control and planning meetingsRecommend improvements to scheduling processes and efficiencyPerform other duties assigned by the Master Scheduler and/or Materials Manager related within the scope of work.What will help you thrive in this role?2‑6+ years of experience in production scheduling, materials planning, or supply chain rolesExperience in a manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of capacity planning, backlog management, and production flowProficiency in ERP systems required; SAP highly preferredAdvanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis skillsStrong organizational and problem‑solving abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environmentExcellent communication and collaboration skillsBachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (preferred)APICS CPIM or similar certification (preferred)Experience in high‑mix, high‑volume manufacturing (preferred)Core CompetenciesResults‑driven with strong execution focusAnalytical thinking and data‑driven decision‑makingContinuous improvement mindsetInitiative, accountability, and adaptabilityStrong collaboration and relationship‑building skillsAbility to manage competing priorities and work under pressureEEO StatementHubbell Incorporated, its subsidiaries and affiliates, is an EO Employer AA: M/F/Veteran/Disability.
