The Production Scheduler is responsible for production scheduling and inventory control activities for the organization. This role develops and maintains the master production plan, tactical production schedules, work orders, while assisting with inventory accuracy activities.Monitors inventory levels to ensure proper amount of supply at manufacturing and distribution facilitiesGathers data from internal sources to incorporate materials, inventories, resource availability, and delivery commitments into master capacity planningTracks progress of production and reviews factors which affect production schedulesDesigns and implements the top-level production schedule plan, considering all aspects of production including efficiency, timeliness, and effectivenessMonitors daily production results and revises scheduling responsive to changes in the flow of materials, designs, equipment, or other resourcesCollaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify and prioritize initiatives to optimize inventory capabilities and customer delivery requirementsUnderstands and utilizes material supply ATP governance and rules – min/max, MOQ, EOQ, EMQUtilizes ERP and other software for tracking and reporting of materialsManages cross-functional S&OP process, working closely with all relevant teams to ensure sufficient supply is available when requiredCommunicates inventory and production status to relevant groupsCreates and manages Work Orders, while ensuring lot traceabilityAnalyzes total product line to recommend SKU rationalization to improve overall production capabilities and service levelsProvides analysis regarding the areas of their responsibilities for department and organization management as neededMaintains policies and procedures for materials management and inventory controlSupports food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance efforts throughout the facilityPerforms additional duties as assignedQualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredExperience developing and maintaining top-level and tactical production schedulesAbility to read, interpret, and apply standard operating procedures, specifications, and regulatory requirementsProficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and OutlookFamiliarity with ERP/MRP system functionalityPreferredExperience within manufacturing environments, with food or beverage industry preferredCPIM certification from APICS or ability to obtain certificationStrong organizational and documentation management skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesStrong communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsHigh level of professionalism, accountability, and ethical conductCommitment to continuous improvement and efficiencyWorking ConditionsFood manufacturing and production environmentModerate noise level with required use of hearing protection in designated areasProlonged periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching, and computer useAbility to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 40 pounds#J-18808-Ljbffr
