This role ensures that customer demand is met while optimizing inventory levels, minimizing downtime, and maximizing production efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesMaterial Planning & Inventory ManagementPlan and manage raw material requirements (polymers, chemicals, fillers, oils, etc.) to support production schedulesMonitor inventory levels and maintain optimal stock to prevent shortages or excess inventoryTrack material usage, scrap, and variances to identify trends and opportunities for improvementMaintain accurate inventory records in SAP and ensure data integritySupport problem‑solving for material shortages and production disruptions to minimize operational impactProduction Scheduling & CoordinationDevelop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules for mixing operationsSequence batches efficiently based on formulation, machine capacity, and changeover requirementsAdjust schedules proactively based on demand changes, equipment downtime, or material availabilityEnsure alignment between production, customer orders, and inventory targetsPerformance Monitoring & CommunicationMonitor key performance indicators including schedule adherence, inventory turns, and on‑time deliveryCommunicate schedule changes and potential risks proactively to relevant stakeholdersCollaborate with quality and operations teams to support continuous improvement initiativesSafety & ComplianceEnsure planning aligns with safety standards and handling requirements for chemicals and rubber compoundsFollow company procedures for inventory control, storage, and traceabilityQualificationsWhat you bring to the role:Associate's in Business or related field, or 4+ years of experience in material planning, production scheduling, or manufacturing operations in lieu of an Associate's2+ years experience in manufacturing environment (preferred: rubber, plastics or chemicals)Strong knowledge in ERP systemsAbility to work cross‑functionally and adapt to change prioritiesProficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysisLegal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
